Gerhard Schwarz has been Head of Equity Strategy at Baader Bank in Munich for 12 years. He has more than 28 years of experience in analyzing the European capital market and its macroeconomic drivers.

As part of Baader Bank's research offering, his focus is on top-down analysis of the equity market. In addition to the macroeconomic outlook for growth, inflation and monetary policy, his models also include valuation aspects and cross asset class correlations to make forecasts on overall market performance and rotations and to develop alpha strategies. One of his key responsibilities includes selecting the "Top Stock Picks" from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This portfolio, which covers the core region of the Baader Helvea Equity Research team, has delivered very strong outperformance over the last 10 years.

Already during his studies at the University of Augsburg, where he graduated as Diplom-Kaufmann in 1993, Gerhard focused on financial market aspects, portfolio theory and quantitative methods. In addition, he successfully completed the CEFA training in 1995.
