Alexander Bassen is Full Professor of Capital Markets and Corporate Governance at the University of Hamburg, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. He teaches in the areas of Investment and Finance, and Sustainable Finance and Accounting. He is a member of the German Council for Sustainable Development, the Sustainable Finance Advisory Board, and the German Government's Scientific Advisory Board on Global Change. He is also a member of the EFRAG Project Task Force EU Sustainability Reporting Standard (PTF ESRS) and the G7 Impact Task Force. He is also an Honorary Research Associate at the University of Oxford (Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment) and a Visiting Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University and Henley Business School (Reading, UK). He also serves on several Sustainable Finance Advisory Committees, including as Academic Director of EFFAS' CESGA.
